Figure 2: The Lantern Stall
Lantern 2The Lantern Stall is located inside a cave tunnel.

The cave tunnel is located just behind the guild tower (Sardon’s Tower) in Onnet Town.

There are a few ways to reach this destination:

  1. Enter from the cave on the right side of the Onnet School in Onnet Town > exit tunnel > climb the stairs > enter the cave beside (leftside of) the guild tower in Onnet Town > Done!
  2. Enter from the cave on the leftside of the Little Red Barn at the north east of the Woods of Master Li > exit cave at the north > go to the south > make a U-turn > jump down at cliff > enter the cave beside (leftside of) the guild tower in Onnet Town > Done!

How to buy? Tap on the Lantern on the Lantern Stall counter to buy it!

Figure 3: Using the Lantern
lantern 3How to use the Lantern? Simply put it into your shortcut key and press it!

The purpose of the Lantern was invented simply because of the wish of having a source of light inside a dark place where you barely see anything, especially in a very dark cave. Frankly, you need a Lantern to  ignite the explosion of the cave rock inside the dark cave to reach the Snow Town. If you do not own a Lantern, you can still ride a Draisine and pass by Snow Town through Rail Cave.

However, the Lantern is needed for the Gnome Quest. You do not need it when you are in the progress of finishing the quest, but the purpose of completing the quest is to upgrade your Lantern. What is the point to do the Gnome Quest while you do not have a Lantern to upgrade!?

Figure 4: The flow of casting a fireball from Lantern

Wow! Casting a fireball from your own Lantern! Impressive? Want to upgrade your Lantern? Do the Gnome Quest! It’s very easy to complete!

Figure 5: The Mana Point Bar

After upgraded your Lantern, you will be given 10 MP full bar. MP stands for Magic Points or Mana Point. I prefer the latter one. Here’s my analysis about the Skill of Casting Fireball:

  • Usage of MP:  2 MP per cast
  • Skill Combo: Cast maximum 5 fireballs non-stop when MP is full bar
  • Skill Effect: Hurt player’s HP in player-killing zone only; burn specific (flammable) items
  • Recovery rate of MP: 1 MP per second
  • Remark: Wait 5 seconds for every recovery of MP to begin

That’s all! Have fun playing!

Author’s Notes

Hmm… I thought the price was 2,500 Gralats? Nevermind. Anyway, in my view, the upgraded version of Lantern seems to be a quite useful weapon to be used in player killing. The range of attack may be small, but sometimes the damage done could be more effective than bombs and arrows in some limited areas, especially at the borderline of nonplayer-killing zone. I had seen players used it to ignite the explosion of bomb too. Hope you find this post is helpful!

    1. Hi iCola! It’s my pleasure to know that I can help in some ways! I started to write about Graal as the thought of blogging came in mind, and decided to continue as my interest. Glad you like it and thanks for your feedback. 🙂

    1. Hi, thanks for dropping by and leaving your feedback! About the effect you mentioned, I purposely generalize it by just briefly describing that the lantern actually can ‘burn specific (flammable) items’. These items could be anything a player can see in the game. It would be no fun to players if all the guidelines are spoiler 😉
